RSS News Feeds / XML FAQ
Rather than visiting a series of Web pages every day, many Web users are installing RSS newsreaders and configuring them to pull RSS feeds. It's like having news delivered to your desktop. You can now place منتديات جنان المشاعر headlines on your desktop as well. We've developed dozens of general and specialized news feeds (RSS-format) available to the general public.

What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

What format do your feeds use?
RSS, which is a flavor of XML specifically designed for the syndication of Web content.

Do I need permission to put one of your feeds on our Web site?
Yes, you will need to contact the Site Administrator for permission to use any of our feeds on another site. As we have copyrighted content available on the site, we are unable to authorize the use of the material anywhere else without clearing it with the content authors first.

How do I put an RSS feed on my desktop?
RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader" or an "aggregator". There are many RSS-reading desktop applications available, including Feedreader, Headline Viewer and Net Newswire (Mac OS X). Some are even available as browser extensions. You can see Google's listing here. You'll need to download and install one of those applications on your system. You can then subscribe to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon RSS Feed icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

Typically headlines, summaries and links back to full stories.

What does RSS stand for?
The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:
  • Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
  • RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
  • Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
RSS formats are specified using XML, a generic specification for the creation of data formats.
